Captain 30m Private MY- Gold Coast Based

A unique opportunity has become available for an experienced captain to be based out of the Gold Coast.

The captain will need to be very hands on and happy with undergoing general maintenance and yacht upkeep across the board, from detailing and washdowns to driving and preventative care.

The yacht maintains a Gold Coast home port and therefore would suit someone looking to be based within the region

Duties will include

• Managing the day to day operations of the vessel
• Navigating and Sailing the East Coast of Australia
• Managing invoicing and accounts for the expenses of the Vessel
• Washing/ Cleaning/ Polishing/ Waxing
• Performing day to day upkeep on the vessel including air conditioning, small plant and equipment
• Reporting and repairing any issues, procuring contractors for any specialist works required

The yacht is used privately only and is a family friendly yacht
The owners are a boating family who enjoy sharing their yacht with friends and family onboard.

The vessel will undertake a mixture of overnight and day cruises, with a fun, relaxed water sports focus.

Seeking a long-term commitment and a candidate who has a stable work history. The Vessel must be kept in pristine condition and a tidy manner at all times and the security of the vessel must be maintained, even when unattended.

You will work very closely with the owner and develop a sound understanding of the owner and family requirements.

Please note that No Smoking is allowed on the vessel.

The Ideal Candidate

• Master 5 or MCA 200 tonnes minimum
• Superyacht experience
• Skilled in Water sports
• Very hands on with maintenance and yacht care
• Happy to be based on the Gold Coast
• Can handle general engine preventative maintenance
• Experience with the Australian East Coast
• Effective manager, strong with paperwork, reports and accounts
• full work rights for Australia

Start Date- Flexible

Salary- To the candidate’s experience level and negotiable (paid in Australian dollars) + standard Australian entitlements
