Captain 122’ MY Charter- Sydney

Do you have previous superyacht charter experience?

A high-profile Australian charter yacht is on the search for an experienced captain to join their professional team
The vessel is run to an extremely high standard and will undertake a mixture of day and term charters throughout both the Australian summer and Pacific Island winters (pending bookings).
The yacht maintains a permanent home port in Sydney and would suit a captain who has time in the Sydney harbour and Pittwater region and/or looking for a yacht with a home base
Run with 4-5 crew, the position will ideally be live onboard (with flexibility for captains with families ashore)
Being Australian flagged, in survey and occasionally travelling internationally the ideal COC will be captains holding an AMSA endorsed 500 GT or greater
(Will consider captains looking to get the endorsement on their NZ or MCA COC )
For Sydney harbour summer season a captain holding an AMSA master 4, COLK , STCW will also be considered
The successful captain may have the option of joining for a summer or permanent/fulltime contract
The Captain must have full work rights for Australia

The ideal candidate

• AMSA endorsed 500gt or higher (unrestricted) (but will also consider AMSA master 4)
• GMDSS
• STCW + Seafarer medical
• Ability to obtain a certificate of local knowledge for Sydney Harbour
• Some superyacht and term charter experience
• MED 2 (preferred)
• ISM experience
• Knowledge of Australian vessel survey requirements, certification, inspections
• extremely safety conscious
• Very well organised
• Excellent manager of people
• Ability to communicate well with guests and stakeholders (owners, brokers, agents)
• Highly presentable
• Full work rights for Australia / NZ

Start Date- Flexible

Term- Minimum summer contract, preference for fulltime / permanent

Salary – DOE $120,000 AUD - $140,000 AUD + Super / Annum
