2nd Engineer Rotation

Position: Second Engineer
Start date: June 2019
Probation period: 2 months. 1st month will be standard non rotation contract (3.5 days leave per month), reverting to standard rotation contract at end of 1st month.
Notice Period: One week during probationary period, 6 weeks after probationary period.
Rotation: One days leave for one day worked. Rotation programme usually 2:2 but adjusted for vessel schedule and at discretion of Chief Engineer.
Flights: Economy flights paid by vessel
Salary: 5000euro per month, negotiable depending upon experience. The crew member is responsible for their own tax and social security contributions.

Courses: Ship will contribute to relevant courses as required
Contract: As per the standard contract of the Yacht Management Company
Leave: As per rotational contract.
First language: English

Experience:

• Must have a good engineering understanding, tender driving skills, experience with water sports toys.
• Experience with AV/ IT essential
• Experience with deck skills

Certificates: R.III/1 or R.III/3(Yacht 3)
Cayman Island Discharge Book
Caterpillar Engine manufacturer’s course is an advantage

Crew member is responsible to have a valid medical card and all certificates for the position assigned along with any visa required to join the vessel.
