We are seeking a Charter Assistant to be based in our Southend-on-Sea head office. We are looking for a new team member who can bring enthusiasm to this role where you need to be organised, self-motivated and have a keen eye for detail. This role would ideally suit a travel enthusiast interested in the yachting world, with previous yacht charter experience as guest, crew or broker.
You will report directly to the Director of Yacht Charter and will be responsible for selling charter holidays, after sales administration and planning, assisting in the management and marketing of our fleet of charter yachts. A predominantly administrative and customer service focused role with some sales, you will speak directly to new and existing clients, organise yacht calendars, update online brochures, website updates, newsletters, social media, send booking packs, follow up preference sheets, organise transfers and bespoke requests. This is a great opportunity to learn and develop within our team, gaining experience across the Yacht Charter industry.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assisting with marketing for charter; creating content for website, social media, brochures, fact sheets, e-newsletters, online advertising and magazine adverts etc
- Keeping Yacht prices, calendars & information up to date
- Organising Yacht Photos for different online portals
- Communicating with owners & charter clients
- “Front of house” answering the phone and dealing with enquiries
- Updating and managing charter information on CRM system
- Representing the company at boat shows
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED
- Excellent telephone manner & strong communicator (verbal & written)
- Well presented and confident, great customer service
- Self-motivated, positive and committed attitude
- Previous experience in the Yachting Industry
- Marketing knowledge and/or experience
- Computer Literate (mac)
- Forward thinking
- Good attention to detail
- Strong administrative and organisation skills
- Experience with PhotoShop and InDesign
- Social Media knowledge: Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn.
This will be a diverse role, with incoming enquiries and numerous projects underway, no two days will be the same. You will have the opportunity to assist with the development of our charter and marketing department, making yourself a real asset to the company.
Language Requirements:
Good knowledge of the English language is required.
