DmB Yachting group is currently recruiting for an experienced chief stewardess for a beautiful 80m+ private motor yacht. The yacht operates at a very high standard and the emphasis is on phenomenal service, high performance and teamwork. The yacht will depart the shipyard mid-December and proceed to the Caribbean before returning back to the med next season to attend key events surrounding the owner’s interests.

The role

The successful candidate will be working closely with an experienced team on-board and must strive to deliver a 6-star service for the guest.
The Chief stew in addition to the mandatory qualifications will have silver service background, and strong budget and accounting skills, interior management with previous hotel management skills.

You will form an integral part of the 9-person interior team;

  • Possess great organization skills
  • Event planning, for dinners, parties, events
  • Can take command and control the team
  • Know when to sit back and observe as well as give advice
  • Good interpersonal skills with high-end guest
  • Can handle pressure in all circumstances
  • Great leadership qualities and hands-on with training the team
  • Extremely high attention to detail
  • Presentable
  • Preferably non-smoker

The ideal candidate

The ideal candidate for this role will have;

  • Over 5 yrs experience on yachts over 60m
  • STCW (STCW 2010)
  • ENG 1 (Medical - NO Limitation/Restrictions)
  • Proficiency in Security Awareness (A-VI/6) Not essential but would be useful
  • Proficiency in Designated Security Duties (A-VI/6-2) Not essential but would be useful
  • Full Driving License (International)
  • Professional Superyacht Induction - Preferred
  • Superyacht Interior Course – Preferred
  • Crisis Management & Human Behaviour - Not essential but would be useful
  • Certified Accountant (or accounting/budgeting course) or Very good Experience – Preferred
  • Formal Butler Training - Preferred
  • Intensive Floristry Experience
  • Hotel Management (Operations) Course - Not essential but would be useful
  • Barista & Hot Beverages - Not essential but would be useful
  • High-end Silver experience and Silver Service Course- Preferred
  • Cocktails & Mixology Course – Must have good experience
  • Certified Sommelier Course - Not essential but would be useful
  • Introduction to International Safety Management (ISM)- Not essential but would be useful
  • Hospitality Course (e.g hotel, resorts & luxury yachts) Not essential but would be useful
  • Purser Course (inc accountancy, budgeting etc) Not essential but would be useful
  • Leadership & Management Course- Not essential but would be useful
