Top Couple for fantastic role in Central London - £top salary

Location and Family Description

This is a fabulous job for a fabulous domestic couple!!  The role will be to work for a HNW British family who are currently renovating a Mayfair home to the highest standard.  They already have a Central London property where you would work and live until the new property is ready.  The family do have older children so there is no childcare involved in this role.  The London house is used approximately 50% of the week as the family also have a country residence.

Job Description

On a daily basis there will be the 'usual' duties which will include;  housekeeping to the highest level including the care of special surfaces, greeting guests, changing beds and other household linen, laundry and ironing including designer clothing when the family are in residence, household shopping, making up of the main bedroom suite and guest rooms , driving when needed and up keep of the cars, and general house maintenance of the current house.  However, you will also be involved in the refurbishment of the new house, and the couple will need to be involved with all aspects of the project.  The housekeeper half of the couple will need to know how to set up and manage the housekeeping side of the household, work with the interior decorators to understand how to care for the furnishings,  and the other half of the couple will need to be someone who is happy to learn, and understand how to operate all the top level technical security, audio visual etc. systems that are going into the house.  There is very little cooking with this job and you may be asked to make breakfast or a light lunch - the Principals will not really need you to cook supper.

The family do entertain and hold events and will do so at the new house.  You will therefore need to be 'front of house' at these events and you will be involved with the planning, caterers etc.  

There is a Private PA who will liaise with you regarding the family's diary and arrangements for guests etc.

Candidate Requirements

Our Client would like a couple who have been working on luxury yachts and now want to move to dry land. You will both need to speak and write very good English,  you will need to energetic, well presented, and able to organise your own work and your own day.  This is a role for a couple who are pro active and can work with the minimum of supervision.

Days of Work, Salary and Accommodation

The family use their London home for 50% of the time, and also go overseas frequently.  Therefore your time will need to be flexible - when they are in London you will need to be happy to work at the days and times you are needed, when the family are not in residence then you can take time off - although the family never abuse this and are understanding about needing your own days off.  There will be very busy times, and times that are not so busy.  Your accommodation in the new house will be a beautiful newly refurbished apartment with your own front door - and you will also have a flat for your own use in the current Central London home until that is ready (approximately 6 months).   You may occasionally be asked to go to their country home and you will have your own barn accommodation there.  Salary will depend on experience but will be in the region of £1,000 net per week - possibly negotiable for the right couple.
