Are you an experienced stewardess looking to join one of Australia’s leading charter yachts?

Are you interested in spending 6 months of the year in Sydney & 6 months in the South Pacific?

A very well-respected Australian charter yacht is on the search for an experienced chief stewardess to join their professional team.

The yacht is run to the highest standard and the chief stewardess must have exceptional skills in both service, housekeeping & yacht management.

The yacht plays host to a diverse range of charter guests and caters from the small and intimate charters to the large Sydney corporate cruises.

The role is also a live ‘on-board position’ and the Chief Stew will have the luxury of being based in the heart of the city for the Sydney summers and in tropical Island locations for the winters, notably New Caledonia, Vanuatu & the Fijian Islands

The chief stewardess will also be responsible for the management of the 2nd stewardess (charters only) and additional service staff for the busier cruises.

When not on charter the position is as Sole/Chief Stewardess so the successful candidate must not only be an effective manager but someone extremely hands-on  

There is an excellent crew dynamic onboard proven by the exceptional longevity of the crew and the successful chief stewardess will be looking to contribute to the fun, positive and professional atmosphere onboard.

The successful candidate will also be given a thorough handover and may have the option of joining freelance as a 2nd stewardess (for the last Fiji trip) to become accustom with the yacht before the outgoing chief stewardess’ departure.

The Ideal Candidate

• Chief or Sole Stewardess experience (or very strong 2nd)
• Full work rights for Australia / NZ
• Current STCW & Seafarer medical (ENG 1 or AMSA)
• Security awareness Cert
• Australian drivers’ licence
• Exceptional service & housekeeping skills
• Excellent management of budgets, inventories and charter drink orders
• Experience with flower arrangements and liaising with florists
• Computer literate and can act as a primary contact with charter agents/brokers
• Strong leadership/management ability
• Can assist with crew lunches and basic food preparations
• Can liaise and work well with the charter chef with regards to food service
• Charter experience favourable (not essential)
• Some experience with children
• Excellent longevity in previous roles

Start Date- Either by the 20th September (in Fiji) or by Mid/Late October 2018 (in Sydney)

Salary- $70,000 AUD + Superannuation + Standard Australian employment/seafarer benefits
