Spa/Stewardess (Hair & Nail/ HK) on Large New Build in Shipyard – TLOD

This very large New Build is currently in a European shipyard and seeking a Spa Stewardess with at least one seasons’ experience on a large yachts or Cruise ships in a HK Stewardess position. The position requires an experienced and qualified Spa Therapist with solid experience in different types of spa treatments including Facials, Mani’s and Pedi’s, Hair Styling and Male grooming experience.

The yacht is due to launch in early 2019, after which this role will become rotational – 122 days leave per annum.  Until then it is a permanent position which will include shared shore-side accommodation and holiday leave of 30 days p.a. based on a 5-day work week.

MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Spa Therapist qualifications
• Hairstyling – highly regarded
• Food Safety & Hygiene Level 2
• Passenger Safety Certificate (Crisis and Crowd Management)
• Security Awareness or Designated Security Duties Certificate
• Valid Seafarers Discharge Book
• Valid passport (valid 6 months)
• Valid ENG1 (valid 6 months)
• Valid STCW BST
• Vaccination card with Yellow Fever and Hep B vaccines
• 3 written references 

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:      

• At least one seasons’ Housekeeping experience on Cruise Ships or large Yachts.
• Solid experience as a Spa Therapist incl. different types of Massage are essential ie. Thai, Hot Stone.. as well as a full range of treatments including Manicure and Pedicure, Facials, Waxing and body scrubs.
• Good communications, organization and diplomacy skills.
• Attention for detail.
• Teamwork & multitasking.
• Hard working, motivated.
• Professional presentation.
• Must be able to follow and retain instructions given.

START DATE: Dec 2018/ Jan 2019

SALARY/PACKAGE: Land based contract until vessel delivery. Generous Salary paid in Euro – based on your experience. 2 return economy flights per year. Shared accommodation provided based in Germany during build. 24/7 Crew Health Insurance. 30 leave days per year prior to yacht delivery 122 leave days per year after delivery.
