Rotation Relief Engineer 46m Private Sail Yacht- Pacific

Are you an experienced relief or freelance Y4 or Y3 engineer interested in an ongoing relief contract in the South Pacific?

The yacht enjoys an active sailing schedule around the South Pacific Islands, Australia, New Zealand and parts of Asia.

Working in with the fulltime chief engineer the successful candidate will rotate in every 3 months (with some flexibility) for a 1-month contract on the yacht.

The position would suit an experienced Y4/Y3 engineer who is looking to develop a good lifestyle balance at home with ongoing relief contracts.

The relief engineer will join with a good handover on all ships systems from the outgoing chief

The Ideal Candidate

• Y4 minimum or equivalent commercial ticket
• STCW, seafarer medical
• Ideally with a home base in the Southern Hemisphere
• Positive and happy disposition, team player who can assist across departments
• Someone who enjoys sailing
• Some sail experience would be ideal but not essential
• Good longevity in previous positions
• Very hands on
• Good communication skills and record keeping
• Start Date- Next rotation will be around September for 1 month (flexible)

Rotation: 1on/3off

Salary- $7500 US + Flights (not paid on off rotation) (DOE)
