Mate/Engineer Private 33m SY- South Pacific (New Zealand based)

Are you an experienced sailor who is available for an immediate start?

Are you interested in sailing Indonesia for the season before being based out of New Zealand with cruises around the South Pacific Islands?

A Mate/Engineer is required for an immediate start in Australia, joining in Darwin the yacht will set sail for Indonesia for the season for sailing and diving trips.

The yacht operates a fulltime crew of 4 but takes on extras for longer deliveries.

The yacht will only have 2 guests onboard for the upcoming Indonesian leg

 Being a high performance, state of the art sloop the ideal candidate above all will be a competent sailor who also has a technical mind for engineering.

The owner spends around 3 months a year on board and enjoys getting off the beaten track.

Sailing is the focus, coupled with some diving trips and onshore excursions.

The position is fulltime however will also consider candidates able to commit to a firm 3-month contract

The Ideal Candidate

• 2-3 years experience on world class sail yachts
• Current STCW, ENG 1
• Minimum power boat level 2
• Engineering qualifications is preferred (but not essential)
• Very competent sailor
• Good technical aptitude
• Some experience as a deck/engineer or 2nd engineer would be ideal
• Looking to offer a firm commitment
• Australian or New Zealand work rights
• Dive Quals a bonus
• Start Date- Before the 6th of July

Salary- $5000 US (negotiable & based on experience) 4 weeks annual leave + flights
