Fantastic opportunity for an Assistant Hotel Engineer to be involved in a 100m+ M/Y New Build in the final build stage



Previous experience essential on 100m+ yacht/cruise/commercial.  



​Must be able to legally work in Europe until early 2019. 



Start date:    July 2018

Package:     Salary paid in Euros per month; 30 days leave based on 5 day work week; 2 return flights; medical insurance.   Shared furnished accommodation provided.   Once operational early 2019 contract will change to full rotation.

Experience/Skills required: 


  • *  Experience in maintaining the yacht interior including - sanitary water production and distribution, waste water treatment, pools and jacuzzis, plumbing, galley and laundry appliances, air conditioning and ventilation, doors and locks, fire dampers, gym equipment and other interior items.

  • *  Working under the management of the 4th Engine Officer and in close co-operation with the Carpenter and ETO

  • *  During the build phase creating a digital database recording the position and method of access to all technical items in accommodation

  • *  Understanding and maintenance knowledge of delicate materials such as marbles, wooden veneers, carpet, leather etc​*  Keeping excellent work records

  • *  Experience with tenders advantageous

  • *  General knowledge of Engine Room systems 

  • *  Strong communications skills, very good presentation and behaviour in front of guests

  • *  Team player

  • *  Fluent English both written and oral 

  • *   Proficient with computers and mobile devices



  • Qualifications required:



  • STCW (fully updated) with PDSD

  • *  Seafarer's medical certificate

  • * Seafarer's discharge book

  • *  Crisis and Crowd management certificate (mandatory)

  • *  Engine Room Watch Rating (III/4) (mandatory)

  • *  Vaccination card with Yellow Fever/Hep B

  • ​Male only due to accommodation arrangements

  • ​Non smoker/no visible tattoos 





 

Work Experience Requirements:

All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Yacht or a Cruise Ship.

Language Requirements:

Good knowledge of the English language is required.

Certificates and Qualifications:

All applicants must hold a valid ENG1 certificate to be able to apply for this position.

A valid STCW Basic Safety Training certificate is required from all applicants. Please sign up for an STCW course and obtain the certificate if you don't have it yet.
