1st Mate 160’ Private Sail Yacht- Caribbean & Canada
Are you an experienced sailing OOW available for an immediate start?
Do you enjoy relaxed private owner cruising in the Caribbean, US & New England regions?
A prestigious, state of the art Sloop is on the search for an experienced 1st mate to join their team.
Currently sailing Bermuda for a guest trip starting on the 24th May the yacht will then set sail for a summer spent in Newfoundland, Nova Scotia and Maine.
From there the yacht will pull its rigging in Newport around August 2018 and undertake a brief yard period.
The ideal candidate will enjoy a relaxed but professional sailing program and enjoy being a part of tight knit crew.
The yacht will consider candidates worldwide, however they must have their B1 / B2 visa and be ready to flyout within the week.
The Ideal Candidate
- OOW minimum
- STCW & ENG 1
- Have previous experience on sail yachts as either a Mate, OOW or Bosun
- Good all-round nautical and navigational knowledge
- Looking to learn under an experienced captain.
- Ability to manage a diverse team
- Very safety conscious
- Good level of self-presentation
- Ability to interact well with guests and crew
- B1/B2 visa
- Available for an immediate start
Start- Before the 24th May 2018
Salary- $6500 US / Month + 42 days holiday, Medical insurance ect

Work Experience Requirements:
All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Yacht.
Language Requirements:
Good knowledge of the English language is required.
