Experienced Bosun required for a new build 70m+ Support Vessel! (EBCH)

We are looking for an experienced Bosun for this new 70m+ Support Vessel. The Bosun will report to the Chief Officer & Second Officer. Ideal candidate would have had experience as a Lead Deckhand or Bosun on a 60m+ M/Y or Bosun experience under 60m.

Itinerary at this stage is Qatar, Seychelles & Indian Ocean!

Responsibilities will include:

• Cleanliness, maintenance and repair of Yacht’s hull, deck, superstructure, tenders and equipment except that designated the Chief Engineer’s responsibility
• Making sure all safety precautions are taken during all deck operations
• Ensuring deck staff is trained sufficiently to enable them to perform all relevant tasks expected of them
• Assisting the Chief Officer in stock/inventory/maintenance control using the yachts planned maintenance system
• Responsible for instructing deckhands on day-to-day maintenance of the larger vessel and its tenders
• Lead by example, motivate and inspire other team members

The successful candidate will have the following experience/qualifications:

• Have at least 3+ years’ experience in the industry, with time as Lead Deck/Bosun
• Have knowledge of Awlgrip, International and DuPont paint systems and be able to teach others
• Have excellent small boat handling techniques/tender driving skills
• Have a strong knowledge of deck operations
• Be fluent in written and spoken English
• Be well presented, with no visible tattoos
• STCW Basic Safety Training including Security Awareness
• Yachtmaster
• Valid Seafarers medical certificate
• Power Boat level II
• PWC Operator/Instructor
• Diving/Watersports
• B1/B2 Visa

Salary: 4500EURO, 45 days annual leave
