Privately owned yacht that is kept at Burnham Harbor, Chicago, IL.
We are seeking a qualified USCG licensed boat Captain for a Sunseeker 60 foot motor yacht.
The ideal candidate will have a good attitude, be service oriented, confident, and understand the importance of a properly maintained and managed motor yacht. This position is seasonal and will commence May through October for the yachting season. Our guests will include; corporate clients, family and employees. Candidate must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a USCG Licensed Captain, and able to pass a background check as well as random drug/alcohol screening.
The position is for normal Captain’s duties, including: Piloting 30-35 tours of Chicago’s lakefront/river lasting 4-6 hours each, Manage maintenance, Coordinate outings with guests, Confirm boat is 100 percent operational at all times for outings, Proper upkeep and cleaning, Maintain captains logs, Stocking of food and beverage for outings.

The candidate must have a thorough knowledge of the latest in Marine Safety, Piloting, and navigation equipment and operational standards.

This position allows for other work, but our outings must always be the first priority.
