A 50m Charter MY is on the search for an experienced chief officer / OOW for an immediate start in New Zealand

The yacht is couple friendly and is open to candidates partnered with an experienced 3rd stewardess

The Chief Mate must ideally have an OOW ticket with a Cayman Islands endorsement and have ECDIS generic experience

Type approval will be supplied but if they have Synapsis Specific ECDIS it is a plus as bridge is paperless.

Must be familiar and comfortable with ISM, doing some passage planning, handling HOR, RA’s and refining SOPs.

Supplementary skills such as diving, fishing, surfing, sailing, hiking a plus.

Experienced and comfortable with running a 50 meter charter yacht to a high level of presentation and doing so with a deck hand, bosun and occasional help from Captain and Engineer.

Maneuvering the vessel is expected but will mentor if they are looking for an opportunity to learn.

Must be very organized and proactive with all ISM and compliance procedures.

No visible tattoos, Strictly NON-SMOKER – no “social” smokers, normal diet, easy going nature.

Must be fit as some deck work is required when owners are aboard.

The vessel will undertake an owners trip before crossing the ditch to Australia.

The yacht will be cruising the South Pacific region for the foreseeable future

The yacht will fly candidates worldwide however they must be available for an immediate start  

Salary - $7-$7,500 DOE US Dollars / month + MLC Benefits
