An Auckland based New Build is on the search for a talented all-round waterman to join their exciting program.

Soon to be launched the yacht will maintain a permanent base in Auckland but will undertake a few extended trips around NZ and the Pacific.

The deckhand will hail from a strong game fishing background, be a talented all-rounder, extremely hands-on and looking to take an active role in all deck operations.

A keen scuba diver and water sports enthusiast, the successful candidate will be supremely confident in the water with a good eye for safety.

5 day working week that will include some weekends with days in lieu accrued for overtime.

The yacht is open to experienced game fishing deckhands looking to break into the white boat industry

The Ideal Candidate

• Solid Game fishing background
• Experience maintaining fishing equipment
• Familiar with a variety of rigs, lures and trawling methods  
• Some dive qualifications
• Tender driving experience
• Bridge watch experience
• Strong swimmer
• Superyacht or commercial experience
• Tender driving ticket, PB2, yacht master or master 5 preferable
• STCW
• Preferably Auckland based or looking to be based in Auckland

Start- September 2017

Salary- Depending on experience and qualifications
