AV/IT Technician for 100m+ MY (AVTM)

This is a permanent position to assist the Chief ETO onboard. It’s an opportunity to upskill and learn from the best! So if you a ‘hands-on’ and hardworking ETO with 3 years’ experience on cruise ships or 80m+ yachts then we want to hear from you now!

The successful candidate will have the following Qualifications and Experience:

• ETO CoC (new regulation III/6 or III/7 preferred)
• Engine room watch keeping rating certificate would be an advantage
• 3 years’ previous experience on Cruise/Passenger or large 80m+ yachts in a similar role
• AV/IT profile with strong electrical skills
• STCW2010 Basic Safety Training certificate including Security Awareness or Designated Security Duties certificate
• ENG1 Medical Fitness certificate with at least 6 months validity
• Seaman’s Discharge Book
• Fluent English – both spoken and written – is required
• Rigorous and hardworking
• Team player, good communication skills

You will have experience in the following – please provide details:

• Computers Network, Servers, Cisco Switches, VLAN, WLAN and LAN networks, Access Points, Security of Ships IT Systems, etc.
• GSM System distribution on board
• Audio Distribution Systems & Lighting Automation Systems Ships Automation (ABB PLCs, I/O Modules, CAM Operating Stations)
• Low Voltage electrical distribution
• Satellite TV distribution and antennas (VSAT, TVRO, Sky/Humax decoders, Matrix)
• AV Distribution (Crestron digital media)
• Satellite Communication(GMDSS, Phone, Data, Iridium, Fleet Broadband, Video Conferencing)
• PABX Telephone Distribution
• Ships Intercom System
• AV Hardware in Guest areas: TV, DVD players, Amplifiers, cabins processors
• Remote Connection for Systems Suppliers Diagnostic and Troubleshooting
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: €5030 per month. 182 days leave per year + 4 return economy flights per year to your homeport.

Work Experience Requirements:

All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Yacht or a Cruise Ship.

Language Requirements:

Good knowledge of the English language is required.

Certificates and Qualifications:

All applicants must hold a valid ENG1 certificate to be able to apply for this position.

A valid STCW Basic Safety Training certificate is required from all applicants. Please sign up for an STCW course and obtain the certificate if you don't have it yet.
