We are seeking a Bosun/OOW to join a private/charter motor yacht. The vessel typically operates a dual-season Mediterranean / Caribbean program; however, the vessel is currently in shipyard until April.

The role includes:

  • Leading the deck team and supporting the day-to-day running of the exterior
  • Taking a hands-on approach to maintenance and setting a strong example for the team
  • Shipyard period in Europe until April, followed by the usual dual-season Mediterranean / Caribbean programme
  • Start date: Mid-November, with some flexibility

What we're looking for:

  • OOW qualified or with an oral exam date booked before April 2027
  • Previous Bosun experience preferred
  • Strong Lead Deckhand candidates ready to step up will be considered
  • Excellent maintenance skills, particularly painting and varnishing
  • Confident leadership skills with the ability to train and develop junior crew
  • Proactive, hands-on and well organised
  • Open to male and female candidates

Work Experience Requirements:

All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Yacht.

Language Requirements:

Good knowledge of the English language is required.

Certificates and Qualifications:

All applicants must hold a valid ENG1 certificate to be able to apply for this position.

A valid STCW Basic Safety Training certificate is required from all applicants. Please sign up for an STCW course and obtain the certificate if you don't have it yet.
