About This role

1st Mate / Eng – Private 30m M/Y

An opportunity for a Mate with good engineering skills to join a well-maintained 30m private motor yacht. Ideal for someone with a South Florida home base who enjoys working in a small, close-knit crew. The vessel operates between Miami and West Palm Beach.

Experience/Skills required:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience as Deck / Mate on yachts 20m+
  • Good knowledge of Miami waterways and Key Biscayne
  • Basic engineering knowledge and proactive problem-solving ability
  • Spanish speaking a plus
  • Fishing or diving skills a bonus
  • Team player with excellent communication skills

Qualifications required:

  • STCW (fully updated)
  • Seafarer's Medical Certificate (valid)
  • PBL2
  • AEC 2 (preferred)
  • American or US green card holder

Candidates should ensure they meet the listed criteria.

Work Experience Requirements:

All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Yacht or a Cruise Ship.

Language Requirements:

Good knowledge of the English language is required.

Certificates and Qualifications:

A valid STCW Basic Safety Training certificate is required from all applicants. Please sign up for an STCW course and obtain the certificate if you don't have it yet.
