Description
Rotational Chief Officer and Chief Stewardess team only~
We are looking for an exceptional Chief Stewardess and First Officer team. This is a rotation of 10 on 10 off. Vessel is 50m and runs to the standards of 60-70m vessel. Private and charter with exceptional owners. Dual season.
Exceptional references and longevity are essential. Proven track record working together as a team.
Crew of 11 that all enjoy spending time together and doing activities, sports, excursions. We are not party boat and most of the crew are into fitness and healthy lifestyles. Everyone has a great time together and while they do enjoy big nights out now and again it's not a every day/week type thing.
We are looking for a team that is willing to commit long term and cannot consider anyone that seems to be looking to get out of the industry in the next 3-5 years. Both need to be dedicated and willing to give the program a solid commitment.
The Captains are really looking for candidates who are hungry and want to prove themselves and be committed and present when they are on board for the 10 weeks that they are here.
You should always lead from the front and by example for the rest of the crew. Current team has a great relationship with the permanent crew and have built that rapport with them.
With that, you should be happy to train the more junior crew in areas they would like to grow and always be supportive of them.
Chief Officer requirements:
- Chief Mate 3000T- vessel is over 500 GT
- Preference is for someone that has been a 2nd Officer on a larger vessel and understands/knows the high standards required. Must be happy to work on deck as needed.
- ISM and ISPS experience mandatory -
- Ship Security Officer
- Medical person in charge would be beneficial but not a requirement.
- Package:
- Start date: This is flexible and TBD. You must be able and willing to go through a process.
- 10 weeks on, 10 weeks off
- Salary is industry standard, Full medical, 13th cheque
- $1500 training allowance to go towards a boat related course each year
- Economy fare flights
- Both need to have a Schengen and B1B2 visa if necessary.
Certificates and Qualifications:
A valid STCW Basic Safety Training certificate is required from all applicants. Please sign up for an STCW course and obtain the certificate if you don't have it yet.
