Mate 47m Private Motor Yacht

We are seeking a highly motivated, organized, and experienced Mate to join a professionally run 47m private motor yacht based in Athens, Greece. The position is permanent with paid leave as we are looking to build a strong team for the long run. The ideal candidate is someone who acts as a strong right hand to the Captain, leads the deck team by example, and maintains the highest standards of maintenance and safety. Key Responsibilities:

• Deck Leadership: Manage, mentor, and schedule daily tasks for the deck crew 
• Bridge Duties: Assist the Captain with navigation, watchkeeping, passage planning, and bridge admin.
• Safety & ISM: Maintain safety equipment, conduct drills, and ensure strict compliance with regulations and internal policies
• Water Sports & Operations: Oversee tender operations, water sports activities, and guest assistance as needed

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Minimum Qualifications: Officer of the Watch (OOW) Yacht 3000GT or higher.
• Experience: Minimum 2+ years of proven experience as a Mate or Lead Deckhand on similar-sized vessels (40m+).
• Skills: Strong tender driving skills, experience managing water sports, and solid product knowledge (Varnishing, teak care etc).
• Basic engineering skills will be considered advantageous.
