Rotational Chief Officer – Private 56m S/Y

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Chief Officer to join a prestigious, heavily used private sailing yacht. The vessel is seeking a confident, hands-on sailor with strong yacht-handling skills, a passion for water sports and the technical ability to maintain and repair water-sports equipment.

Start date: Immediate
Itinerary: Palma refit, Caribbean and potential worldwide cruising
Package: Competitive salary paid in Euros, rotation TBC

Experience/Skills required:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as Chief Officer
• Proven yacht-handling and driving experience aboard sailing yachts over 35m
• Strong navigational, bridge-management and deck-management skills
• Experience with kitesurfing, diving and spearfishing
• Able to maintain and repair tenders, water toys and sports equipment
• Proactive, safety-conscious and confident leading the deck team
• Fluent English; Italian would be a strong advantage

Qualifications required:

• STCW Chief Mate 3000 GT
• PADI Divemaster or PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor qualification
• STCW certificates fully updated
• Seafarer’s Medical Certificate
• Seaman’s Discharge Book preferred
