We are seeking a Deckhand to join a 90m private sailing yacht following a long refit period. The yacht will head to the Caribbean for owner trips before crossing back to the Med for the summer season.

The role:

  • Full Deckhand position supporting the day-to-day running and maintenance of the exterior
  • Strong involvement in sailing operations
  • Joining the yacht as she comes out of a long refit period
  • Dual season - Caribbean owner trips followed by a crossing back to the Med for the summer season
  • Start date: October (Ideally ASAP, with flexibility)

What we're looking for:

  • Ideally 2 years' experience on sailing yachts, with larger sailing yacht experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of sailing operations and confidence working with winches
  • Green/junior candidates with a sailing background, sailmaking or rigging experience, or yard experience may also be considered
  • Trade skills would be beneficial, particularly electrical, building or other practical skills
  • Hard-working, adaptable and willing to get involved
  • B1/B2 visa preferred but not essential

Work Experience Requirements:

All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Yacht.

Language Requirements:

Good knowledge of the English language is required.

Certificates and Qualifications:

All applicants must hold a valid ENG1 certificate to be able to apply for this position.

A valid STCW Basic Safety Training certificate is required from all applicants. Please sign up for an STCW course and obtain the certificate if you don't have it yet.
