Summary
Chief Steward(ess) position - 50m - Motor yacht
Description
We are seeking an experienced Chief Stewardess who is motivated to lead a high-level interior on board our 50m charter yacht.
The ideal candidate will be guest-facing, positive and have strong charter energy. You will be the face of the yacht for our guests, leading the interior team while maintaining high standards of service, presentation and organisation throughout every charter and owner trip.
Attitude is everything. We want to hire a Chief Stewardess who takes the role seriously while helping to create a harmonious crew atmosphere. Our yacht has always had a family culture and we strive to keep it this way.
Requirements:
- Proven Chief Stewardess experience on 40-50m yachts, or strong Second Stewardess experience on larger vessels
- Strong charter experience and a genuine enjoyment of guest-facing service
- Excellent organisation, leadership and time-management skills
- High standards of housekeeping, service and interior presentation
- Confident with guest itineraries, provisioning, accounts and interior administration
- Professional, positive and team-oriented attitude
- Valid STCW, ENG1 and relevant visas
Package:
- Salary DOE USD ($7,000 max)
- 38 days leave
- Approved MLC SEA
- Full medical insurance
- Gratuity is split evenly between all crew members
We are looking for a Chief Stewardess who wants to make the interior their own, bring fresh ideas and put their own stamp on things. Good systems are already in place, but someone who wants to improve and implement strong interior procedures is preferred.
We currently have a second stewardess and will be hiring a 3rd stewardess in the fall and a 4th stewardess prior to starting our winter season.
As this is a busy 50m charter vessel, the right candidate must be hands-on and enjoy working in a fast-paced charter environment. You will be expected to lead from the front, support your interior team and maintain a positive, calm atmosphere for both crew and guests.
Cruising grounds include a busy yard period in Washington State, followed by a Christmas owners' trip in the Sea of Cortez.
Future cruising plans involve Costa Rica/Panama for winter and Alaska for summer 2027.
Certificates and Qualifications:
A valid STCW Basic Safety Training certificate is required from all applicants. Please sign up for an STCW course and obtain the certificate if you don't have it yet.
