We are seeking a Deckhand to join an 85m private/charter expedition yacht. The position is initially a 2–3 month temporary contract, with the possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate.

The temporary period includes a European shipyard period followed by a crossing to the Caribbean. The yacht's longer-term programme will see her operate a private/charter season in the Caribbean before returning to Northern Europe for the summer private/charter season.

Role:

  • Full deckhand duties supporting the day-to-day running and maintenance of the exterior
  • Start date: ASAP
  • Initial 2–3 month temporary contract
  • European shipyard period followed by a Caribbean crossing
  • Potential to transition into a permanent position for the right candidate

Requirements:

  • Minimum of one full season of yachting experience; one year preferred
  • Valid B1/B2 visa essential
  • Open to male and female candidates

Offer:

  • Temporary day rate: €120/day
  • Temp duration: 2–3 months initially

  • Permanent salary: DOE
  • Permanent leave: 48 days

Work Experience Requirements:

All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Yacht.

Language Requirements:

Good knowledge of the English language is required.

Certificates and Qualifications:

All applicants must hold a valid ENG1 certificate to be able to apply for this position.

A valid STCW Basic Safety Training certificate is required from all applicants. Please sign up for an STCW course and obtain the certificate if you don't have it yet.
