Head of Housekeeping

Magnitude Recruitment is seeking an exceptionally detail-focused Head Housekeeper to lead the housekeeping and laundry departments onboard a prestigious 70m+ motor yacht.

This role requires a confident leader with outstanding organisational skills, advanced laundry and product knowledge, and the ability to maintain extremely high interior standards within a large, private yacht environment.

2/2 rotation, EUR salary

ASAP start date.

Key Requirements

• Proven experience as Head Housekeeper or Senior Housekeeper on large yachts (80m+) or within ultra-luxury hospitality environments
• Very strong leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and manage large housekeeping and laundry teams
• Excellent laundry expertise, including advanced fabric care, stain treatment, and garment preservation
• Strong product knowledge across cleaning agents, laundry products, and interior finishes
• Exceptional attention to detail with consistently high standards
• Valid STCW certification and ENG1 (or equivalent)
• Fluent English (spoken and written)

Housekeeping Leadership Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and motivate the housekeeping and laundry teams
• Set clear daily routines, standards, and structured workflows
• Allocate duties effectively and manage rotas to ensure efficient coverage
• Maintain consistently high cabin, spa, and laundry standards throughout the vessel
• Act as a visible leader, supporting the team on the floor while overseeing operations

Laundry, Wardrobe & Systems Management

• Implement, manage, and oversee Laundry across the vessel
• Maintain full wardrobe management for the Owner and family, including inventory control
• Oversee garment care, seasonal rotations, labelling, and storage systems
• Ensure correct use of laundry equipment and products
• Monitor stock levels and manage ordering of laundry and housekeeping supplies

Interior & Operational Responsibilities

• Oversee deep cleaning, detailing, and turn-down standards
• Manage laundry operations, including care of delicate and luxury garments
• Maintain inventories of linens, cleaning products, and housekeeping supplies
• Coordinate with Chief Stewardess, Purser, and other departments
• Assist with guest preparation and special requests as required
