Temp or Full-Time Deckhand / Dive Master

49m Charter/Private M/Y | Solomon Islands, Australia & Pacific | Start ASAP

A 49m Feadship charter/private motor yacht is urgently seeking an experienced Deckhand / Dive Master or Dive Instructor to join the vessel ASAP in the Solomon Islands. The position is ideally permanent; however, as an immediate start is essential, the yacht is also open to taking an experienced temporary candidate for 1–2 months while the search continues for the right long-term crew member.

The Role

• Temp or permanent position available
• Start ASAP in the Solomon Islands
• Cruising itinerary includes the Solomon Islands, Australia and the Pacific
• The vessel is expected to visit Cairns at the end of September

Candidate Requirements

• STCW essential
• Strong deck experience
• Good tender driving skills
• Qualified Dive Master or Dive Instructor
• Considerable and confident diving experience
• Familiarity with diving in the Solomon Islands and/or Indonesia would be highly regarded
• Australian or New Zealand candidates preferred due to upcoming visa requirements

Cabin Arrangements

Male or female candidates will be considered for the temporary role. For the permanent position, the successful candidate will be sharing a cabin with a male crew member. Therefore, a male candidate is preferred, although a female candidate who is comfortable sharing a cabin with a male crew member will also be considered.

Package

Permanent position:

• USD $4,000–$4,500 per month, depending on experience
• Salary open to discussion for an exceptional candidate
• 40 days annual leave
• SEA agreement

Temporary position:

• Approximately USD $200 per day
• Rate open to discussion for the right candidate
• Expected duration of approximately 1–2 months
