About This role

Chief Officer – Private / Charter – 45m+ M/Y

An excellent permanent opportunity is available for an experienced Chief Officer to join a 45m+ motor yacht operating a private and charter programme in the Mediterranean.

The yacht is seeking a confident, hands-on Chief Officer who combines strong bridge and deck management skills with a genuine understanding of charter operations. The ideal candidate will be highly guest-focused, experienced in coordinating watersports activities and comfortable maintaining an energetic, service-led deck environment.

Start date: 20th August 2026
Itinerary: Mediterranean – single season
Package: Salary DOE, paid in Euros, 60 days’ leave

Experience/Skills required:

  • Minimum 1 year’s experience as Chief Officer on 40 m+ motor yachts
  • Previous experience aboard busy private and charter yachts
  • Strong navigational, watchkeeping and bridge management skills
  • Proven leadership and deck crew management abilities
  • Excellent knowledge of watersports operations, equipment and guest safety
  • Confident tender driver with experience coordinating guest excursions and activities
  • Strong guest service skills with a professional and approachable manner
  • Hands-on, proactive and able to maintain high deck presentation standards
  • Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Previous Mediterranean cruising experience preferred

Qualifications required:

  • OOW Certificate of Competency – minimum and essential
  • STCW (fully updated) with PSA/PDSD
  • Seafarer's Medical Certificate
  • Seaman’s Discharge Book (preferred)

Work Experience Requirements:

All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Yacht or a Cruise Ship.

Language Requirements:

Good knowledge of the English language is required.

Certificates and Qualifications:

A valid STCW Basic Safety Training certificate is required from all applicants. Please sign up for an STCW course and obtain the certificate if you don't have it yet.
