Housekeeper / Residential Detailer – Private Residence – Queenstown

Are you an experienced Housekeeper, Cleaner, Hospitality Professional, or former Yacht Stewardess based in the Queenstown region?

A wonderful opportunity has become available to join a lovely professional family in a beautiful private residence located in the Lake Hayes / Arrowtown area. This is a long-term, secure position offering flexible hours and an excellent hourly rate. The role is primarily focused on housekeeping and cleaning; however, for the right candidate, there is scope for additional responsibilities and career growth over time. The position could suit a university student seeking consistent hours, a returning yacht stewardess looking for a land-based role, or a parent seeking flexibility and no weekend work. The Housekeeper will work alongside a former yacht stewardess who has been their lead housekeeper of several years.

Salary Guide

• From NZD $40-45 per hour DOE
• Hourly rate to be reviewed after the first 90 days for the right candidate

Responsibilities

• General housekeeping and cleaning
• Detailed care of high-end furniture, finishes and surfaces
• Laundry, wardrobe and linen care
• Maintaining exceptional presentation standards throughout the residence
• Working across two properties located less than 10 minutes apart

• Strong attention to detail and pride in their work
• High standards of cleanliness and presentation
• Professional, discreet and trustworthy
• Able to work confidently and autonomously
• Positive, motivated and proactive attitude
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Extremely reliable and committed to a long-term position
• Valid New Zealand driver's licence and reliable transport
• Legal right to work in New Zealand
