Are you a Bosun with an OOW looking to step into a 2nd Officer position?

Do you enjoy remaining hands-on with deck operations, watersports, tenders, and leading a strong deck team rather than being confined to the bridge?

Position Snapshot
• Start: 26th August
• Rotation: 3:1
• Salary: €5,500 per month
• Dual Season: Mediterranean & Caribbean
• Charter / Private Program

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced deck leader ready to take the next step into an officer role while maintaining a strong operational presence on deck. The successful candidate will spend approximately 90% of their time leading deck operations, managing the deck team, overseeing watersports and tender activities, guest interaction, maintenance programs, and ensuring smooth day-to-day deck performance. The role is heavily deck-focused, with less emphasis on bridge watchkeeping and ISM administration. The yacht operates a busy charter schedule throughout the Mediterranean before crossing to the Caribbean for the winter season. The program offers strong earning capacity with equal split of charter tips and is seeking someone looking for longevity within a professional and supportive team environment. The vessel has a charter emphasis and owner use is secondary.

Key Requirements

• OOW 3000 minimum
STCW & valid ENG1
• Strong deck background with previous Bosun or senior lead-deck experience
• Proven leadership ability and confidence managing deck operations
• Excellent tender driving, watersports, maintenance, and guest service skills
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and team-focused approach

Bonus Skills (non-essential)
• Diving qualifications
• Watersports instruction or experience
• Musical ability
• Trade background

The Ideal Candidate
Above all, the vessel is seeking a humble, supportive, and diligent professional who leads by example. The successful officer will work closely with rotation captains, support the wider crew, and contribute positively to the culture onboard without ego. The yacht is exceptionally well maintained, carries extensive watersports equipment and large tenders, and is operated by an experienced crew. Candidates from Australia and New Zealand are encouraged to apply, with the vessel fully supportive of Southern Hemisphere rotational arrangements. If you're ready to step up from Bosun to Officer while remaining actively involved in all aspects of deck operations, this could be an outstanding long-term opportunity.
