Daily Housekeeper - London, UK

Our principal is seeking an exceptional, hands-on Housekeeper for a private residence in Belgravia, maintained to the standards of a leading luxury hotel. This is a genuinely hands-on role spanning the full cleaning and upkeep of the property, alongside wardrobe care, guest service, and event support. We are looking for someone with real exacting standards, a meticulous eye for detail, and the flexibility to turn their hand to whatever the day requires, while always using their own initiative and discretion.

The principals travel frequently, so the pace of the role will vary considerably. When they are away, there will be downtime to focus on deep cleaning, maintenance, and organization. When they are in town, this person needs to be ready to work hard and deliver truly exceptional, hotel-standard service. Above all, we are looking for someone proactive and solutions-driven, comfortable operating with a genuine hospitality mentality rather than a rigid, process-bound one.

This is a 40-hour week, though the pattern will flex around the principals' schedule, sometimes spread across seven days with time off in lieu, other weeks bringing multiple consecutive days off. Genuine flexibility and an easy-going approach to changing schedules are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver full hands-on cleaning and upkeep of the property to an exacting, hotel-standard finish
• Use downtime during the principals' travel productively, undertaking deep cleans, maintenance checks, and seasonal organization
• Flag any maintenance or repair issues promptly, with a solution already in mind
• Manage the principals' wardrobes fully, including rotation, packing, and organization
• Handle a wide range of textiles, fabrics, and fine garments with genuine expertise
• Deliver impeccable laundering, pressing, and stain removal, treating delicate fabrics correctly
• Maintain garments, shoes, and accessories to a museum-quality standard of care
• Run the household to the standard of a high-end hotel, with faultless presentation and total consistency
• Anticipate needs before they are voiced, organizing spaces with real thought and logic
• Communicate clearly and confidently with guests and the principal, always warm and professional
• Support other household staff during busy periods, including service to guests, and assist with events for the principal's high-profile clients and contacts, always maintaining discretion
• Prepare medicines accurately each morning, and communicate promptly with the principal's PAs, flagging issues early with a proposed solution

Ideal Candidate

• Proven experience in a similar Housekeeper or high-end hospitality role, comfortable with genuine hands-on cleaning
• Deep knowledge of fabric care, laundering, and stain treatment across fine and delicate textiles
• Hugely detail-orientated, with genuinely exacting personal standards
• Flexible and hands-on, willing to turn their hand to a wide variety of tasks
• Good spoken and written English, with confident, clear communication
• A calm, discreet, and professional manner around high-profile guests
• Proactive and solutions-focused, with the confidence to raise and resolve issues independently
• Genuinely dog-friendly, happy to have animals as part of daily life
• Excellent organizational skills and absolute discretion and trustworthiness

Package

• Working schedule: 40 hours a week, flexed around the principals' schedule
• Salary: £55,000+ per annum, depending on experience
