We are seeking an experienced Rotational Captain to join a 50m MY running a busy private/charter program.

  • Start date: mid-October 2026
  • Rotation: 2:2
  • Busy charter program with varied cruising itinerary
  • Shipyard period Stateside (October–November 2026)
  • Central America holiday cruising followed by the Caribbean winter season
  • Work closely with the Lead Captain and Owner's Representative to deliver a successful program
  • Hands-on leadership role across all aspects of vessel operations

What we're looking for:

  • Minimum Master 500 GT (or equivalent)
  • Previous command experience on a similar-sized charter vessel. We would consider Captains stepping up from 40m+ or strong Chief Officers from 50m+ who have Relief Captain experience.
  • Strong seamanship with a hands-on, practical approach
  • Confident operating in busy cruising programs with back-to-back charters
  • Background in watersports/fishing would be a bonus
  • Collaborative leadership style with excellent planning and communication skills
  • Enjoys mentoring crew and leading by example

Work Experience Requirements:

All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Yacht.

Language Requirements:

Good knowledge of the English language is required.

Certificates and Qualifications:

All applicants must hold a valid ENG1 certificate to be able to apply for this position.

A valid STCW Basic Safety Training certificate is required from all applicants. Please sign up for an STCW course and obtain the certificate if you don't have it yet.
