Live-In Housekeeper/Cook - Orastie

We are working with a private client based in Orastie, Romania, to assist in hiring a full-time live-in housekeeper/cook. This role supports the day-to-day running of a quiet, well-maintained private household.

The property is approximately 200 m² and is occupied by one person only, making this a calm and orderly household. The role focuses on daily upkeep, meal preparation, grocery shopping, laundry and ironing, and keeping the household well organised.

Please note that deep cleaning will be carried out periodically by a professional cleaning company; the successful candidate will mainly be responsible for day-to-day upkeep rather than intensive cleaning.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the day-to-day cleanliness and presentation of the property.
• Carry out daily housekeeping duties including tidying and general upkeep.
• Plan and prepare daily meals for the household to a high standard.
• Manage grocery shopping and ensure household supplies are consistently stocked.
• Oversee laundry and ironing with meticulous attention to detail.
• Keep the household well organised and running smoothly.
• Liaise with the professional cleaning company regarding scheduled deep cleans.
• Maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times.
• Liaise with external suppliers and service providers when required.
• Ensure the home is always immaculately presented.
• Assist with additional household tasks as directed by the Principal.

Ideal Candidate

• Female, EU passport holder/right to work in Romania.
• Demonstrable prior experience in housekeeping within a private household.
• Strong cooking skills with the ability to prepare varied daily meals.
• Verifiable references and a clean criminal record.
• Discreet, reliable, and highly organised with strong attention to detail.
• Autonomous and proactive with the ability to manage responsibilities independently.
• Comfortable working within a quiet, single-occupant household.
• Professional, well-presented, and committed to delivering high standards.

Package

• Working schedule: Full-time, live-in; Sunday – day off.
• Accommodation and meals fully provided.
• Paid annual leave provided.
• Employment contract with full legal formalities.
• Salary: €2,500 Net per Month.
