Salary:

Location:

Job posted:

We are working with a warm, friendly family based in Marylebone to help them find an experienced full-time Nanny for their two boys. This is a wonderful opportunity for a nurturing, highly organised professional to become a valued part of the children's daily lives, working within a household that offers stability, warmth and genuine autonomy in the role.

Mum is often at home but allows the Nanny a good degree of independence, while Dad works full-time and travels frequently. The boys, aged 9 and 5, are happy, healthy and active, enjoying different activities. One of the boys has well-managed nut, egg, sesame and coconut allergies, so the family would appreciate a Nanny who is confident and conscientious in managing this responsibly. A cleaner attends three times a week to support with general housekeeping, leaving the Nanny to focus on the children and their day-to-day needs.

The role follows a term-time wrap-around structure, offering a split schedule with mornings and afternoons focused on the children, while the middle of the day remains free. During school holidays, the role moves to fuller daytime hours. A car is provided for the school runs and day-to-day errands.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide sole charge care for two boys, aged 9 and 5, across term-time and school holidays
  • Undertake the morning and afternoon school run, including wrap-around care from 7 am to 9 am and 3.30 pm to 7 pm
  • Support with homework, reading and general academic development
  • Manage nut, egg, sesame and coconut allergies with confidence
  • Prepare healthy, age-appropriate meals for the children three days a week, including light meal preparation before or after the school run
  • Plan engaging, age-appropriate activities that balance structure, education and fun
  • Maintain the children's bedrooms, laundry and personal belongings
  • Travel with the family to their country home (approximately one hour from London) during school holidays as required. This will involve day trips only, with no overnight stays required
  • Liaise closely with parents to ensure consistency in routines and care
  • Provide extended daytime care during school holidays, typically 8 am to 5 pm
  • Drive the children to school, activities and appointments as needed
  • Maintain a calm, safe and nurturing environment at all times

Ideal Candidate

  • Warm, engaging and energetic personality
  • Highly organised, proactive and reliable
  • The family are looking for someone comfortable taking ownership of homework support, exam preparation, and encouraging strong study habits
  • Experienced and confident managing food allergies
  • Native or very fluent English speaker
  • Full, clean driving licence essential
  • Calm, dependable and safety-conscious
  • A strong communicator with a genuine, proactive team spirit

Package

  • Start Date: Mid-August
  • Monday to Friday during term time, 7:00 am – 9:00 am and 3:30 pm – 7:00 pm. During school holidays, the working hours will be 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.
  • On three days each week, there will be an additional 1.5 hours for meal preparation for the boys, which can be completed during the day, between the morning and afternoon school runs
  • Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 per annum, dependent on experience
  • 25 days holiday (20 at the family's discretion, typically around school holidays, Easter and Christmas, and 5 of the Nanny's choosing), in addition to UK bank holidays.
  • Car provided for the school run and errands
