Family and Household Manager - Dubai

We are working with a returning UHNW Italian family based in Dubai to assist in hiring a full-time Family & Household Manager. Working closely with the family’s PA, this is an exciting opportunity to oversee both the family’s residence and their personal lives, providing strategic and hands-on leadership across the household. This role would suit a proactive, personable and highly organised individual accustomed to managing properties and household staff for the ultra-high-net-worth market.

The role is split between the family office in central Dubai and the family’s residence nearby, where you will be overseeing the household staff and ensuring the home is run efficiently. The family has two children, along with two cats, so previous experience within a family home is essential.

The successful candidate will be expected to travel with the family when required. This is a live-out position; the candidate will be responsible for their own accommodation and living costs.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the recruitment, onboarding, training and day-to-day management of household staff, including drivers, nannies, chefs and housekeepers
• Directly manage the household staff and work closely alongside the Family PA
• Develop and maintain SOPs and SOMs for household operations, ensuring alignment with the family’s vision and values
• Act as the key point of contact between the family and household staff
• Coordinate property maintenance, snagging and renovation works across family residences
• Manage household budgets, invoices and petty cash in conjunction with the family’s finance team
• Organise and renew visas, insurances and other important family documentation
• Support scheduling of children’s activities and school-related administration
• Plan and coordinate family travel, itineraries and accommodation, including extended summer travel
• Oversee the planning and execution of family events and guest visits
• Ensure the smooth running of the villa and household, adapting to the family’s changing needs
• Handle ad hoc requests and provide seamless day-to-day lifestyle support to the family

Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience as a House Manager and PA within a private UHNW household essential
• Proven experience managing and training household teams
• Fluent in Italian and English is essential
• Holder of an EU passport
• Calm, warm and approachable manner
• Confident and authoritative yet flexible, with a non-hierarchical approach to staff management
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to anticipate needs
• Comfortable working across both an office environment and a family home
• Discreet, trustworthy and adaptable to a fast-changing schedule
• Willing and able to travel with the family, including extended periods abroad

Package

• Working schedule: 5 days a week (Monday–Friday), 8-hour days plus a 1-hour lunch break; occasional out-of-hours contact may be required
• Visa and medical insurance provided
• 25 days annual leave
• Annual contribution of AED 3,000 towards a return flight home (available after one year of service)
• Live-out position – accommodation, transport and living costs to be covered by the candidate
• Salary: AED 30,000 – 35,000 net per month, based on experience
