We are seeking a Chaseboat Captain to take full responsibility for a 44ft Wajer supporting a 55m private motor yacht operating a dual-season Mediterranean and Caribbean programme. This is an opportunity for a confident tender operator to command the chaseboat while remaining part of a professional and supportive yacht programme.

The role:

  • Take full responsibility for the safe operation, presentation, and maintenance of the 44ft Wajer.
  • Operate the chaseboat throughout both the Mediterranean and Caribbean seasons.
  • When the chaseboat is not in use, work onboard the 55m mothership supporting deck operations.
  • Accommodation will be onboard the chaseboat.
  • Private dual-season programme with family use, including a Mediterranean season, a short shipyard period, and a Caribbean season.
  • Start date: ASAP, with some flexibility to wait 2–3 weeks for the right candidate.
  • Open to both male and female candidates.

What we’re looking for:

  • OOW 3000GT preferred (newly qualified candidates welcome).
  • Extensive large tender or chaseboat driving experience essential.
  • Alternatively, experienced Chaseboat Captains holding Yachtmaster may be considered, subject to insurance requirements.
  • Confident, safety-conscious operator with excellent seamanship.
  • Professional, proactive, and capable of working independently while integrating with the wider deck team.

Work Experience Requirements:

All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Yacht.

Language Requirements:

Good knowledge of the English language is required.

Certificates and Qualifications:

All applicants must hold a valid ENG1 certificate to be able to apply for this position.

A valid STCW Basic Safety Training certificate is required from all applicants. Please sign up for an STCW course and obtain the certificate if you don't have it yet.
