About This role

Shipyard Assistant Engineer – Private 80m MY

Start date: 1 September 2026 (pending season finish)
Location: Europe
Package: Salary in Euros – 38 inclusive

Experience and attributes required:

  • 2 years + in the large yacht industry or similar position
  • Worked on yachts over 50m in length (cruise ship experience acceptable)
  • Proficiency in maintenance of tenders and HVAC equipment
  • Familiar with fuel oil purifiers, pumps and potable water systems
  • Understands planned maintenance systems

Qualifications required:

  • Ideally EOOW, or equivalent experience with shipyard knowledge
  • STCW (fully updated) with PDSD
  • Seafarer's Medical Certificate valid for at least 6 months
  • Seaman's Discharge Book
  • Schengen visa or right to transit in Europe

Work Experience Requirements:

All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Yacht or a Cruise Ship.

Language Requirements:

Good knowledge of the English language is required.

Certificates and Qualifications:

A valid STCW Basic Safety Training certificate is required from all applicants. Please sign up for an STCW course and obtain the certificate if you don't have it yet.
