Junior Technical Superintendent

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Junior Technical Superintendent – Yachting to join an established international yacht management team based in Antwerp, Belgium.

This is an ideal opportunity for a recent maritime or engineering graduate, or someone with early practical experience at sea or within the maritime industry, looking to build a long-term career in technical yacht management. Working alongside experienced Technical Superintendents, you’ll gain hands-on exposure to the technical, operational and financial management of luxury yachts while developing your expertise across maintenance, refits, compliance, budgeting and vessel performance.

Responsibilities
Support the day-to-day technical management of assigned yachts.
Act as a first point of contact for routine technical enquiries and operational matters.
Assist with planned maintenance, repairs, refits and dry docking activities.
Monitor vessel certification and ensure compliance with Flag State, Class and statutory requirements.
Assist in preparing, reviewing and monitoring operational and dry dock budgets.
Coordinate with vessel crews and internal departments to support safe and efficient operations.
Participate in vessel visits, inspections and technical audits.
Assist with annual ISM reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintain accurate technical documentation, reports and maintenance records.
Build strong working relationships with Masters, Chief Engineers, suppliers and external stakeholders.

Requirements
Education & Experience

Degree from a Maritime Academy, Marine Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
Candidates with initial sailing experience or early exposure to commercial vessels or yachts will also be considered.
An understanding of ship management, vessel operations and marine technical systems would be advantageous.
