Nanny / Family Assistant – Palm Beach, Florida

We are working with a warm, fun-loving family based in Palm Beach, Florida, to help them find an energetic and engaging Nanny/Family Assistant for their two children, aged 8 and 5. This is a lovely opportunity to join a fully staffed household, caring for two well behaved children who divide their time between two homes. Both children attend school locally, and the role will involve supporting their daily school routine alongside other childcare duties at the father's home in Palm Beach. The children's father is very hands-on and involved when he has the children, and the children have their own nanny when staying with their mother, so this role is naturally quieter during those periods. This makes it a fantastic opportunity for a nanny keen to take on more administrative and personal assistant tasks, offering excellent scope to broaden your skillset and showcase your abilities beyond core childcare. Generally, the working pattern is straightforward, though weekend work will be required as needed, and the successful candidate should be happy to travel on occasion for family trips, including an upcoming 10-day trip to the South of France departing on 27th July.

This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with a fun, athletic personality who genuinely enjoys being active and engaged with children of similar ages. Please note there are no pets in the home.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, engaged and reliable care for two children aged 8 and 5
• Plan and lead fun, age-appropriate activities, outings and games
• Participate actively in sports and physical activities alongside the children
• Manage the school run and homework support for both children at their local school when needed
• Assist with transitions and schedules between the family's two homes
• Travel with the family for occasional trips, including international travel
• Coordinate with other household staff to ensure smooth day-to-day running
• Support with administrative and personal assistant tasks for the family, with scope to take on more over time
• Manage the children's belongings, packing and organization for trips
• Ensure the children's safety, wellbeing and happiness always
• Liaise closely with parents regarding schedules, routines and children's needs
• Maintain flexibility around a variable schedule, including weekend work when required

Ideal Candidate

• Must have the right to work in the USA
• Fluent English language skills required
• Previous nanny or childcare experience with similarly aged children required
• Fun, energetic and athletic, with a genuine love of active play
• A positive, engaging role model with a warm and nurturing nature
• Flexible and adaptable, comfortable with a variable weekly schedule
• Willing and able to travel with the family when required
• Highly reliable, trustworthy and discreet
• Strong communication skills, able to liaise well with parents and household staff
• Organized, proactive and able to use initiative
• Keen to develop administrative and personal assistant skills alongside childcare duties

Package

• Working schedule: Based on an average 40-hour week, with flexibility required including weekends
• Salary: From approximately $100,000 per annum, dependent on experience
