Part-Time Laundress – London & Surrey

Silver Swan has recently placed a team of temporary staff to support a longstanding client's family during their summer visit to the UK. Due to increased requirements, our client is now seeking an experienced Part-Time Laundress to join the household on a temporary basis.

The client maintains two principal residences in London and Surrey, so flexibility to work between both locations is essential. This is an excellent opportunity to support a well-established household team whilst gaining valuable experience within a prestigious UHNW environment. This position is available immediately and will run until the end of July.

YOU MUST BE ELIGIBLE TO WORK IN THE UK WITH YOUR OWN ACCOMMODATION. NO ACCOMMODATION IS PROVIDED.

Key Responsibilities

– Managing all aspects of laundry, including washing, drying, ironing and garment care
– Caring for delicate fabrics, designer clothing and luxury household linens
– Organising wardrobes and ensuring garments are stored correctly
– Identifying items requiring specialist cleaning and coordinating with external dry cleaners where necessary
– Maintaining the laundry area to an exceptional standard of cleanliness and organisation
– Reporting any garment damage, repairs or supply shortages to the House Manager
– Supporting the wider housekeeping team when required whilst maintaining high household standards

Ideal Candidate

– Candidates must have the right to live and work in the UK. Sponsorship is not provided
– Previous experience working as a Laundress within a private household or luxury hospitality environment
– Excellent knowledge of luxury garment care and fabric handling
– High attention to detail and exceptional organisational skills
– Flexibility to work between London and Surrey as required
– Must have your own accommodation and transport
– Available to start immediately and commit until the end of July

Package

Working schedule: 1–2 days per week

Temporary contract until the end of July

Start Date: ASAP

Salary: £20–£25 per hour (depending on experience)
