Silver Swan Recruitment is delighted to be working with a longstanding UHNW client to recruit a Butler for an exciting temporary-to-permanent opportunity. The successful candidate will initially join the household on a temporary basis to support the family's summer residence in the United Kingdom, with the intention of transitioning into a permanent rotational travelling Butler position upon successful completion of the temporary contract.

The client maintains two prestigious private residences across London and Surrey, and candidates with the flexibility to work seamlessly between both locations are highly desirable. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a highly professional household team with whom we have enjoyed a longstanding relationship for many years.

The temporary contract will run from ASAP until mid-September, with August unpaid while the family are away. Subject to excellent performance and mutual suitability, the successful candidate will be offered a permanent rotational Butler position, travelling internationally with the Principal throughout the year and supporting residences across multiple locations.

Please note that candidates must already have the right to work in the UK and have their own accommodation for the temporary contract, as accommodation is not provided during this period. Previous yacht steward or stewardess experience is highly advantageous given the travelling nature of the permanent role.

– Assist with the planning and execution of private dinners, events, and entertaining

– Maintain complete discretion and confidentiality at all times

– Report maintenance issues promptly to the House Manager and assist in ensuring the smooth operation of both residences

– Travel with the Principal as required following transition into the permanent rotational role

Ideal Candidate

– Must have the legal right to live and work in the UK; sponsorship is not available

– Must have their own accommodation and transport within commuting distance of both Surrey and Mayfair for the temporary contract

– Available to commence ASAP through to mid-September, with August unpaid

– Previous experience within a UHNW private household, luxury hospitality, or superyacht environment is essential
