Live-In Housekeeper/Cook – Orastie & Cluj-Napoca

We are working with a private client based across two residences in Romania to assist in hiring a full-time Live-In Housekeeper/Cook. This is a wonderful opportunity to join a well-established private household within a beautifully maintained residential setting, where the successful candidate will play a central role in the day-to-day running of the home. The role is split across two properties — approximately 70% of the time in Orastie and 30% in Cluj-Napoca — making this an itinerant position that requires flexibility and a willingness to travel between locations. A car will be provided to facilitate this, and candidates must hold a valid Category B driving licence with confident driving experience. Full accommodation and meals are provided at both residences. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated, discreet, and experienced housekeeper/cook seeking a long-term position within a private household environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of both residences to an impeccable standard
• Carry out all daily housekeeping duties including thorough cleaning, tidying, and organisation
• Plan and prepare daily meals for the household to a high standard
• Manage all shopping and household supplies, ensuring provisions are consistently stocked
• Oversee laundry, ironing, and garment care with meticulous attention to detail
• Organise day-to-day household logistics and ensure smooth running of both properties
• Travel between the two residences as required, managing the transition between properties seamlessly
• Maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times
• Liaise with external suppliers and service providers when required
• Ensure both homes are always immaculately presented and guest-ready
• Assist with additional household tasks as directed by the Principal

Ideal Candidate

• Female, EU passport holder/Right to work in Romania
• Category B driving licence with genuine, confident driving experience
• Demonstrable prior experience in full housekeeping within a private household
• Strong cooking skills with the ability to prepare varied daily meals
• Verifiable references and a clean criminal record
• Discreet, reliable, and highly organised with strong attention to detail
• Autonomous and proactive with the ability to manage responsibilities independently
• Flexible and adaptable, comfortable with an itinerant working arrangement
• Professional, well-presented, and committed to delivering the highest standards

Package

• Working schedule: Full-time, live-in; Sunday – day off
• Accommodation and meals fully provided at both residences
• Car provided for travel between locations and duties
• Paid annual leave provided
• Employment contract with full legal formalities
• Salary: €2,500 – €3,000 net per month
