We are working with a lovely Ukrainian family based in Damac Hills, Dubai, to assist in hiring a full-time British Nanny/Governess for their two young daughters, aged almost four years and four months. This is a wonderful opportunity to join a warm and settled family home and to play a central role in the early development and education of the children, with a particular focus on preparing the eldest daughter for school.

This is a live-out position, with the successful candidate ideally based close to Damac Hills. The role offers a balanced focus between nurturing the baby and supporting the development and school readiness of the eldest daughter, who will be starting at a leading British school in Dubai this August. The family’s emphasis is firmly on education, manners, and early childhood development, with the children’s mother remaining closely involved in day-to-day life.

The role is largely home-based, with only occasional family travel once or twice a year. The household is a relaxed and happy one, and also includes two cats and a small dog.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive, nurturing care for two young daughters, aged almost four years and four months.
  • Support and guide the early development and school readiness of the eldest daughter ahead of her start at a leading British school.
  • Encourage excellent manners, social confidence, and a genuine love of learning.
  • Engage with the children in perfect English to support language development.
  • Plan and deliver age-appropriate educational and play-based activities.
  • Establish and maintain consistent, comforting routines for both children.
  • Provide partial care for the baby, including feeding, naps, and developmental stimulation.
  • Balance time between the baby and the eldest daughter, with a greater focus on the eldest’s development and learning.
  • Work collaboratively alongside the children’s mother, who remains closely involved.
  • Accompany the family on occasional domestic and international travel.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organised environment for the children.
  • Uphold discretion and confidentiality at all times.

Ideal Candidate

  • British nationality preferred.
  • Native or perfect English essential.
  • Previous experience as a nanny or governess within a private family.
  • Background in early years education or child development highly desirable.
  • Experience preparing young children for school entry, ideally within the British curriculum.
  • Warm, patient, and nurturing, with a genuine passion for childhood development.
  • Excellent manners and a polished, professional presentation.
  • Visa provided; candidates already based in Dubai on a spouse visa will be prioritised.
  • Comfortable living and working in a home with pets.
  • Reliable, proactive, and discreet.

Package

  • 5 days a week, Wednesday to Sunday (Monday and Tuesday off), 09:30 – 20:00.
  • Occasional family travel once or twice a year, with all travel expenses covered.
