A great opportunity for a First Mate to join a 35m private motor yacht based in the Mediterranean. This is a hands-on role with structured, low-key owner usage and a strong focus on maintaining high standards onboard.

The role:

  • Predominantly deck-focused position working closely with the deckhand on all exterior operations.
  • Maintain high standards across deck maintenance, including painting and general upkeep.
  • Support navigation and assist on the bridge, with opportunities to gain drive time where possible.
  • Minimal administrative workload, with a practical, hands-on daily structure.
  • Private, Med-based program with low-key owner usage.
  • Start date: ASAP.

What we’re looking for:

  • Yachtmaster minimum (essential), ideally working towards OOW modules.
  • Experience as a Mate on a similar-sized vessel or a strong Bosun from a 50m ready to step up.
  • Solid painting and maintenance skills.

Work Experience Requirements:

All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Yacht.

Language Requirements:

Good knowledge of the English language is required.

Certificates and Qualifications:

All applicants must hold a valid ENG1 certificate to be able to apply for this position.

A valid STCW Basic Safety Training certificate is required from all applicants. Please sign up for an STCW course and obtain the certificate if you don't have it yet.
