Lead Deckhand – Private/Charter 55m M/Y

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Lead Deckhand to join a busy private/charter motor yacht.

The ideal candidate will be hands-on, highly organised, and confident supervising junior crew while maintaining the highest standards of deck operations, maintenance, and guest service.

Start date: ASAP

Itinerary: Mediterranean

Package: Salary paid in Euros, DOE, 60 days' leave

Experience/Skills required:

• Minimum 2–3 years' experience as a Deckhand on motor yachts
• Previous experience as a Lead Deckhand preferred
• Strong deck maintenance skills including washdowns, polishing, detailing, paint and varnish work
• Experience supervising and mentoring junior deck crew
• Confident tender driver with excellent guest handling skills
• Strong knowledge of mooring operations and line handling
• Experience with watersports and guest activities
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and leadership qualities
• Professional appearance and excellent communication skills

Qualifications required:

• Yacht Rating Certificate
• Yachtmaster Offshore (essential)
• STCW (fully updated)
• Seafarer's Medical Certificate
• PWC / Jet Ski Licence preferred
• Seaman's Discharge Book (preferred)
