Private 112’ Westport Motor Yacht

We are seeking a Stew/Deck to join our private, owner-operated 112’ Westport.

This is a true hybrid role, split approximately 50% interior and 50% exterior. It is not an interior position with occasional deck help, and it is not a deck position with occasional interior help. The right candidate must be comfortable working in both areas and willing to support the vessel wherever needed.

She is a private, non-charter yacht with an active cruising and fishing program. The boat is run professionally by a crew of 7, with high standards, good organization, and a strong focus on owner experience.

Schedule

We have planned owner-use months and owner-off months.

Owner-use months: January, February, April, May, July, August, October, November
Owner-off months: March, June, September, December

During owner-use months, crew should expect to be onboard and available for owner trips, cruising, fishing, maintenance, and vessel preparation.

During owner-off months, crew time off is scheduled in rotation while maintaining proper vessel coverage. The goal is for each crew member to receive approximately 22 days off during each owner-off month, with exact dates coordinated around travel, maintenance, yard work, and onboard coverage.

This is a private yacht schedule, not an equal-time commercial rotation. It offers planned time off during the owner-off months, while requiring flexibility during active owner-use months.

Role Responsibilities

Interior responsibilities include housekeeping, laundry, service support, guest and owner care, interior detailing, cabin and bathroom turnover, interior organization, and provisioning support.

Exterior responsibilities include washdowns, exterior detailing, line handling, fender work, tender support, exterior setup for owner use, and helping keep decks clean, safe, and organized.

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is positive, respectful, professional, hardworking, physically capable, clean, organized, presentable, and comfortable working both inside and outside.

The right candidate should be detail-oriented enough for interior work, practical and hands-on enough for exterior work, good with owners and guests, able to take direction from the Chief Stewardess, First Mate, and Captain, and flexible depending on the day’s needs.

This position is best for someone who enjoys variety and wants to become a stronger all-around yacht crew member.

Experience / Requirements

Yacht, hospitality, housekeeping, service, deck, boating experience is preferred.

STCW, ENG1 or equivalent medical, valid passport, and U.S. visa or ability to travel as required by the itinerary are preferred.

We are open to the right junior candidate if the attitude, work ethic, and willingness to learn are excellent.
