A high profile 48m private MY is on the search for a Bosun to join their professional team. The vessel is owned by a well-established superyacht owner with a solid long-term crew. The vessel maintains a base in Sydney for most of the year with winters away on the Gold Coast (yard) and Whitsundays (short trip). Whilst in the yard the crew enjoy living off the yacht and are put up in a luxury beach house at Broadbeach. The Bosun will lead on deck, managing a deckhand and working under an experienced chief officer, who is happy to sign off task books for both MCA & AMSA alike. The Bosun is encouraged to work on tickets and must be serious about progressing their yacht career. The Bosun can live on or off the yacht but must take part in the rotating watch schedule. The vessel is open to crew visiting Australia on working holiday visas and has the opportunity to sponsor the crew member to stay in Australia ongoing.

The Ideal Candidate
• A few years experience on Superyachts
• Lead deck time preferred
• Master 200gt / yachtmaster (or wishing to get within 6-12 months)
• Time overseas favourable
• Polished, professional, well presented
• Strong understanding of yacht maintenance / products
• Bridge time
• Can lead and train the deckhand
• Good tender driving experience
• STCW/Seafarer medical
• Located in Aus/NZ region for joining

Start: 29th June
Salary: Good Package, paid in AUD (through system)
Leave: 4 weeks annual
