Live-Out Housekeeper - Oxfordshire

We are delighted to be working with a private client based at a beautiful country estate in Oxfordshire, to assist in hiring a full-time Housekeeper. This is a wonderful opportunity to join a well-established private household, supporting a Staff couple within the private wing of a beautifully maintained property. The role is well-suited to a candidate who takes genuine pride in maintaining an impeccable domestic environment.

The property spans two floors with five bedrooms, and the position is focused entirely on the private side of the estate, with no involvement in any event or commercial operations. The Housekeeper will work closely with the couple to ensure the home is maintained to the highest standard at all times.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of a five-bedroom private residence to an impeccable standard
• Perform daily housekeeping duties across two floors, including cleaning, tidying, and organisation
• Manage all laundry and wardrobe care, including ironing, garment care, and seasonal organisation
• Oversee wardrobe management, including packing and unpacking as required
• Ensure all household supplies are well stocked and efficiently organised
• Run personal errands for the couple as and when required
• Liaise with external suppliers, tradespeople, and service providers when needed
• Ensure the home is always beautifully presented and guest-ready
• Maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times
• Adapt flexibly to the household's changing needs and schedule
• Support the smooth running of the household during the working week

Ideal Candidate

• Must have the right to live and work in the UK
• Must live within commutable distance
• Previous experience working within a private household or luxury residential environment
• Strong housekeeping and laundry skills with excellent attention to detail
• Organised, proactive, and able to use initiative
• Professional, discreet, and well-presented at all times
• Flexible and adaptable, with a calm and positive approach
• Able to work both independently and as part of a wider household team
• Strong communication skills and a genuine commitment to service
• Comfortable working Monday to Friday with occasional weekend flexibility

Package

• Working schedule: 8 hours per day, Monday to Friday
• Live-out Role
• Salary: £40,000 Gross Annually + DOE
• Start Date: August 2026
