Private Housekeeper - Dublin

We are working with a long-standing client based in Dublin to assist in hiring a full-time, live-out Private Housekeeper. This is a wonderful opportunity to join a well-established household in one of Dublin’s most sought-after residential areas, maintaining the home to an impeccable five-star standard.

The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of housekeeping, laundry, and wardrobe care, ensuring the property is presented to the highest standard at all times. The household is well situated on excellent rail and bus routes, making it easily accessible from across the city.

This is a full-time position of 40 hours per week, working five days out of seven on a rota basis. Some weekend availability will be required to share weekend duties fairly across the housekeeping team, ensuring all staff benefit from regular time off.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the property to an impeccable five-star standard
• Perform all daily housekeeping duties, including cleaning, hoovering, and dusting throughout
• Make up beds and change linens to a five-star hotel standard
• Manage all in-house laundry and ironing to a high professional standard
• Oversee wardrobe organisation and clothing care, ensuring all garments are properly stored and maintained
• Ensure all rooms are consistently well-presented and guest-ready at all times
• Maintain general responsibility for the overall upkeep and presentation of the household
• Monitor and replenish household cleaning supplies and consumables as required
• Liaise with the wider household team and report any maintenance requirements promptly
• Maintain the highest levels of discretion and confidentiality at all times
• Adapt to the household’s routine and requirements with flexibility and a positive approach

Ideal Candidate

• Will already be living in Dublin
• Previous experience in a private household and/or 5* hotel
• Strong housekeeping skills with exceptional attention to detail
• Experience with fine laundry, ironing, and wardrobe organisation
• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to use initiative without direction
• Positive, can-do attitude with a flexible and adaptable approach
• Professional, well-presented, and takes pride in their work
• Discreet, trustworthy, and respectful of household privacy
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team

Package

• Working schedule: 5 days per week (rota across 7 days, including some weekends)
• Full-time position: 40 hours per week
• Live out: no accommodation provided
• Salary: €45,000 per annum
