We are working with a returning private family based in Madrid to help them hire a Seasonal Nanny for the summer period. This is a wonderful opportunity to join a warm and welcoming household, caring for three children — twin boys aged seven and a girl aged nine — across two locations during the summer months.
The position runs from 22nd June through to 23rd August, with the first month spent working alongside the family's current nanny at their Madrid residence. During this initial period, the role will follow an approximate 24/7 schedule, with time off during the day. Accommodation for this period will be shared with the current nanny. From mid-July, once the current nanny departs on holiday, the successful candidate will assume full responsibility for the children and will have their own private room.
The family also travels to Ibiza during the summer, and the nanny will be expected to accompany them. The role is live-in throughout, and all accommodation is provided.
Responsibilities
- Support the current nanny during the initial handover period and take over all childcare duties thereafter
- Accompany the children to activities, appointments, and outings
- Assist with mealtimes and ensure children are well-nourished (cooking is not required)
- Oversee bath time and bedtime routines
- Provide attentive, nurturing care at all times
- Maintain age-appropriate structure and boundaries in line with the parents' approach
- Travel with the family to Ibiza and provide seamless childcare throughout
- Liaise professionally with the parents regarding the children's daily needs and wellbeing
- Ensure the children's environment is safe, organised, and stimulating
- Uphold discretion and confidentiality at all times
Ideal Candidate
- Must hold an EU Passport/Right to work in Spain
- Calm, kind, and nurturing, with a genuine passion for working with children
- Experienced in caring for children of primary school age
- Able to maintain structure and gentle boundaries — the parents manage discipline directly
- Adaptable and flexible, comfortable working across multiple locations
- Organised and proactive with a positive, can-do attitude
- Professional, discreet, and well-presented
- Fluent in English; Spanish is advantageous
- Comfortable in a live-in role and willing to travel
Package
- Working schedule: 24/7 with time off to agree with the family
- Live-in accommodation provided — shared room during initial period, private room thereafter
- Travel with the family to Ibiza is included
- Salary: €1,200 – €1,500 net per week
